With Remembrance Day falling on a Monday in 2013, many services are taking place over the weekend. The City of Toronto has a partial list of community observances here.

There are also some special events happening over the weekend, like a comedy fundraiser for the Wounded Warriors charity, and a fundraising performance of R.C. Sherriff’s play Journey’s End, with all proceeds going to the Royal Canadian Legion.

For the actual morning of November 11th, here’s a partial list of prominent services:

Theatre and basketball merge in the 6th Man Collective, whose most recent project involved a theatrical presentation on a park basketball court. To fundraise for its next project, the group is taking the game inside and onto screens, for the Slammin’ Jammin’ Comedy Fundraiser. There will be an NBA Jam Wii tournament and many hilarious competitions and guests—including Ennis Esmer (CTV’s The Listener), Emma Hunter (Just For Laughs), and Franco Nguyen (2013 Cream of Comedy finalist). It’s $10 to watch the tournament and special performances, or $20 if you want to get in the game.
