The "Happy Endings" Caption Guy soon fell into a depression, claiming he "had peaked" with the Dave caption. He was replaced by a caption robot three months later and eventually took his own life in shame. (Luckily, Torontoist cannot yet afford a caption robot.)

See, once upon a time Keri Wilson was in a show called "Felicity," and in the second season she cut her hair, and fans hated it because it looked terrible, and this is what passed for controversial TV in 1999, people, so if you're younger than, oh, 25 you probably have zero chance of getting the reference unless you decide to watch the whole series on Netflix. (American Netflix, not Canadian Netflix.)
