New Project Brazen 2 Documents Detail Threats Related to Crack Video

ITO involves death threats and suggestions the mayor knows some dirty cops.

Released from a publication ban today, new details in the Project Brazen 2 ITO (none of which have been proven in court) reveal alleged wiretapped threats made by Ford friend Sandro Lisi—who is charged with extortion—and a north Etobicoke community fearful of retribution.

Elena Basso, a Ford friend who lives at 15 Windsor Road, the crack house where the video was shot, bemoaned Mohamed Siad’s decision to shoot the video: “He’s the fucking mayor of Toronto,” said Basso in a telephone conversation on May 19. “We’re going to feel the heat.”

Basso, who was present when the video was shot on February 17, was concerned about the consistent visits to 15 Windsor Road from police and “Ford’s people” in the days after the Ford video was made public. She said of Siad: he “fucked my business up; he fucked everybody.”

Siad was warned about the kind of retribution he could expect. In one conversation, he was told that the mayor “knows a few dirty cops and other people,” and in another, he was cautioned “not to play with his life.” Siad’s fellow gang member Liban Siyad says that in one conversation, Sandro Lisi threatened Juiceman, an individual who frequently exchanged texts with Rob Ford’s driver and exchanged the mayor’s cellphone for a quantity of marijuana in April: “You’re fucking dead and everybody on your block is dead.”

The documents also reveal how some of the people who know Ford best see the mayor. Elena “Princess” Basso, who has convictions for prostitution and drug trafficking, had this to say about him: “To be fair, I told you guys, Rob Ford is a big fucking idiot anyways.”

When the latest ITO was released, Rob and Doug Ford left the council chamber and avoided any questions. This came hours after news broke that the OPP had stepped back from the TPS’ ongoing investigation into Project Brazen 2, and Ford had told reporters at City Hall: “I know I did nothing wrong. I knew the day was going to come that I’d be cleared, and I guess today’s the day.”

If charges don’t come after 6 months of collecting information like this, then we need to have a serious discussion about our billion dollar police budget.

  • OgtheDim

I am all for due process and following the rule of law.

Unfortunately, that means people who do bad things, usually those people with money or power, get off without being charged while those without money get
convicted due to the lack of proper legal support.

We can affect those around us, and try to develop public opinion about those who do bad things. But some people will just not be prosecuted. Thankfully, no prosecution does not mean a public person gets away free.

Ford is not exonerated. He has just not been prosecuted.

The Fordinistas will crow over this and say Ford was guilty of nothing. They are wrong.

Its time that the other mayoral candidates get real and start going after Ford on his behaviour.

Torontonians believe in consequences for your actions – consequences beyond what the courts provide. Saying sorry isn’t enough. Toronto does not want its mayor to smoke crack with gangbangers. He can do that “the past is the past stuff’ all he wants.

You don’t do that and get to become mayor again.

Ford has my vote, he’s the only one who can get the job done.

We’ve had enough NDP/Liberal Party shenanigans down there to last a lifetime and many of us are sick of it.

      • Torontopoly

Get what job done? He got absolutely nothing done aside from shifting around revenue and calling it savings. Other than that he cost us tens of millions by cancelling fully funded projects and has raised are taxes for a useless subway to nowhere.

        • bobloblawbloblawblah

          Don’t feed the troll.

        • OgtheDim

Yeah, he’s not a serious Fordinista.

Heck, he’s not even a serious Troll.

    • bobloblawbloblawblah

I did want to see Ford led away in cuffs — it’s not likely to happen but the man is a lowlife and a liar and he deserves to be arrested. I will be happy to see him crushed and repudiated in the fall, though. I am confident that will happen.

“I am all for due process and following the rule of law”

We have to respect the process, that the police and the courts are working through. There are those who will question that, but ultimately that’s what has to happen.

Guilty or not, of whatever, Mayor Rob Ford still needs to answer a lot of questions about his behavior, his actions and his choices. Brushing if off as he has, by saying, “I’ve done nothing wrong”, or “I’m not perfect”, is not good enough. This is a man who has admitted to buying and using, cocaine. This is a man who has admitted to driving drunk. This is a Mayor who has admitted to being so drunk, even on the job, that he had no idea what he was doing. This is a Mayor who under oath, admitted, in his own words, that he was incompetent, in his job as Mayor. This is a Mayor who has lied repeatedly to the public. And how is it that the Mayor of the 4th largest city in North America, is just one small step away from such criminal activity and has so many “friends”, who seem to be directly involved in shady and possibly criminal activity.

This is not a man who is fit for any elected office!

“Not good enough” is the best we can expect from Alleged Mayor Ford, in all aspects of his life.

    • bobloblawbloblawblah

He’s also a Mayor who has bought drugs from and hung out with gun running gang-bangers who have caused violence and deaths on our streets. That makes him a hypocrite, a scoundrel and a man without moral compass. He should resign.

  • torontothegreat

Ford will be arrested. Mark my words.

    • TheSotSays

      High ho, Clayton Ruby. (snicker)

  • TheSotSays

After blowing away, for nothing, a few million bucks on surveillance helicopters (chuckle) I’m glad to see that the police will now have time to look at McGinty and McWinndy and get to the bottom of these erased emails and the vote buying hydro cancellations that just put our electricity bills up 20%.

    • Steveinto

You’ll need to look elsewhere for why your hydro bills are up. It is called privatization, now you need to pay for a profit margin.
That was done post Dalton McGuinty.

      • TheSotSays

        “Post Dalton McGinty,” you say.
Fascinating, thank you, I’ll definitely look elsewhwere.

    • MER1978

Deflection.. so much easier than actually defending BS mayor.

      • TheSotSays

No deflection Popeye. I’m voting Rob Ford for Mayor and against anything NDP running for council.

        • MER1978

That’s why you were talking about Dalton McGuinty who isn’t running for mayor or council… right.

          • TheSotSays

I heard that if Dalton doesn’t go to jail over the hydro, he’s hoping to get a trajectory off Norm Kelly and run for Mayor. Nominations don’t close until September.

          • MER1978

You need to take a BS for beginners class from Rob Ford it sounds like.

          • TheSotSays

Good idea, let me know when you’re accepting new students.

  • Notcleverguy

LOL! Ford is an idiot, this doesn’t clear him, this only makes the waters murkier.
