Grown-up wizards, funny faces, and other red carpet hijinks.
Saturday night did not cool down at TIFF. One of the most heavily anticipated films of the festival, Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom, opened with fans cheering for Idris Elba (who, as we all know, not only kills giant monsters but is also Stringer Bell AND Luther). Looking like death warmed over did not stop Matthew McConaughey from showing up for the premiere of Dallas Buyers Club. Also, some of the Harry Potter people showed up to promote non-Harry Potter movies, and reminded us all that they are no longer little children, but instead real grown-up wizards. People! We meant “people.”
