WHAT: The future of Toronto’s payphones may be in doubt now that many of us carry mobile devices, but the stalwart old booths are still everywhere, waiting for people to put them to use. Sure, this particular use isn’t what the phones were designed for, and it looks like more people are taking books than are leaving them. Even so, very clever. (Others have tried similar experiments in their own front yards.)
