- Although Councillor Doug Ford (Ward 2, Etobicoke North) probably won’t be able to make good on his promise/threat to run for MPP now that the province no longer seems headed for a summer election, his daughter, former Lingerie Football captain Krista Ford, is down for a run at City Hall. But not until the municipal government makes one crucial change.
- If you, like us, were underwhelmed by the Much Music Video Awards last night, you were in good company. Evidently, Carly Rae Jespen and Katy Perry didn’t have such a great time at an after-party hosted by Perez Hilton. The Grid seems to have had some fun during their night out, though.
- The cool thing about the National Post is that if you work for them long enough you get to dress up as Spider-Man and rappel down the outside of City Hall. For journalism.
- And the brothers Ford had their final weigh-in today, putting an end to their public weight-loss challenge, known as Cut the Waist. Mayor Rob Ford lost just 17 pounds, which is far shy of his goal of 50. To add insult to injury (or is it the other way around?), the mayor appears to have hurt himself while stepping off the scale for the last time.
