—Councillor Josh Matlow (Ward 22, St. Paul’s), speaking on Metro Morning today about his plan to ask city council to study road tolls. Matlow intends to introduce a motion at the next council meeting, which he says will be backed by TTC Chair Karen Stintz (Ward 16, Eglinton-Lawrence), asking staff to explore the possibility of setting up a GTA-wide working group on road tolls as a new, dedicated source of revenue for transit (one which the mayor opposes).
