Scene: Polar Bear Dip

WHAT: In an annual tradition, Habitat for Humanity summoned brave Torontonians to take an icy plunge into Lake Ontario, a fundraising effort with a frosty twist. Organizers had hoped for 300 participants and more than 360 intrepid swimmers showed up; a final tally of the money raised will be released soon. Since 2006, the polar bear dip has raised in excess of $88,000.
