Streeter Knows Nothing Of His Work

streeter_graphic4.jpg Subway northbound from Eglinton station. Three girls on their way home from high school. One of them puzzles over a semi-cryptic movie ad she spots on the wall.
Girl: “You do look fat in that, Sarah Marshall”? Is she related to Marshall McLuhan?

To utterly spoil the fun for those who haven’t seen the ads in question yet (here’s a photo of them), those “Sarah Marshall” ads (and the associated website) are, as Jonathan hinted at, part of an advertising campaign for the film Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Obay it ain’t.

Movies with marketing campaigns are generally horrible.

Good ad campaign… if you are 15 years old.

The thing that bothers me most about these ads is the terrible punctuation.
    They need commas desperately.

Yep.. it was intriguing the first time I saw a Sarah Marshall banner ad on Perez, but overall not a very successful campaign at all
But what’s going on in Dundas Square now?

    Finally, another streeter!
