The Hidden Cameras are back home, and we are all better off for it.

As we mentioned in this week's music listings, the Cameras––they of the Mississauga-bred now world-famous exuberant gay pop fame––are playing an AIDS benefit concert this Thursday night at the Great Hall in Hart House (7 Hart House Circle), with proceeds going to Toronto People With AIDS Foundation and AVERT International. The show, with Montreal's Sister Suvi and Toronto's Allie Hughes, will be the Cameras' first live show for the public since June's fantastic Phoenix performance (though they did play the free U of T Frosh Week concert in September that there was totally no way you could have easily snuck into, plus a brief gig at a Vote Out Poverty event in October).

Advance tickets for Thursday's show run $5 for students and $10 for adults, and are on sale now––cash-only––at the University of Toronto Students' Union office (12 Hart House Circle); or you can pay at $10 for a student ticket or $15 for an adult one at the door. Think of it this way: you don't have to feel bad if you don't buy advance tickets, because your extra $5 is going to charity! Everyone wins.
