Whose Choppers?

We were amused to find these veneers on the website of a Toronto cosmetic dentistry practice. Can you guess which celebrity these Chiclets belong to? Hint: it ain't Hilary Duff.

Now, we're not fans of this hyper-perfect fake veneer thing, but we have to admit that Dustin Diamond's mouth was one hot mess. Thanks to media-lovin' cosmetic dentists Dr. Andrew Charkiw and Dr. Armaghan Afsar, Diamond's crumb crunchers are now more bleach and less Screech.

celebteeth2_18Oct07.jpgTelegenic dental duo and U of T grads Charkiw and Afsar also appear on the makeover series Style By Jury, and claim many patients in the film and television industries, including Miss Universe Canada 2006, Alice Panikian. They gave Diamond a full set of porcelain veneers, which are hard, thin forms that are permanently bonded to existing teeth to smooth over gaps, chips, or a an entire mouth full of tombstones.

The former child star, stand-up comedian, and Celebrity Fit Club combatant has notoriously flapped his gums in Toronto before: he chose Edge 102.1's Dean Blundell Show to announce in 2006 that he was broke with bad credit and facing foreclosure on his home, which he attempted to defray by selling $15 t-shirts to cover the US$250,000 debt. A few months later, a sex tape "accidentally" leaked, depicting the actor in a three-way with two women—and introducing one to the legendary "Dirty Sanchez."

Screech may have upgraded his face, and we're sure he's a nice guy in private, but his public personality has generally been repellent. We hope he is enjoying his glam new T-Dot teeth, even if it seems he's gonna get them knocked out one of these days.

Quick! We need a PhotoShop job of what Mayor David Miller might look like with porcelain veneers.
