Often regarded as a meaningless and irritating genre, disco inspires yet more negative sentiment in this month’s Rue Morgue CineMacabre screening. Discopath takes place in 1970s New York, where an unassuming man murders his date at nightclub. Escaping to Montreal, he takes cover at a girl’s school, which proves to be a poor choice as the sounds of disco provoke him into another homicidal rampage. Specially created concession treats and alcoholic drinks catering to the morbid tastes of horror fans will be available for consumption during the film. And prizes! Lots of prizes!
