Many of the public spaces in Toronto are featuring programming all afternoon and evening for Canada Day, with lots of family friendly activities. Harbourfront Centre has the most packed into the day, with their Lakeview Market beginning at 10:30 a.m. and running all day, and music acts like The Big Sound and Delhi 2 Dublin, who will play the newly opened Canada Square. At Yonge-Dundas Square, multi-cultural acts play the main stage from noon to 9 p.m. And up at Mel Lastman Square, the City of Toronto has entertainment from Zero Gravity Circus and music acts planned from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., whereupon they’ll light up the last (official) fireworks display of the long weekend.
