The 34th annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards, honouring the best of the past year’s theatre productions in Toronto, are hosted this year by The National Theatre of the World’s Matt Baram and Naomi Snieckus (who we’ve previously called the city’s best hosts.) If you aren’t so lucky as to be attending as a nominee (or their plus one), and balk at the $125 VIP ticket, there’s a new ticket geared towards working theatre artist wages: a $25 ticket gets you into the “overflow” theatre where the awards will be simulcast screened. It also gets you into the post-awards late night street party on Front Street.
