It’s time for the annual city budget! This year, like last, we expect the City Manager to deliver a budget that isn’t balanced, saying that the tough decisions to close the gaps will have to be made by council.
At the same time, we’ll have a sub-inflationary residential property tax increase, which will create additional pressure on the budget.
And then there’s the $33 billion in unfunded but approved capital budget projects, and assorted unfunded operating budget services.
