A grid system to solve all your High Park problems.
Five years ago, James McDonough wanted to solve a problem that west end Torontonians face with embarrassing frequency. How do you find your friend in Trinity Bellwoods Park?
Obviously calling a friend on their phone is out of the question; no one does that anymore. And you don’t want a bunch of back-and-forth texts, either. His solution was to make a Battleship-style grid system to locate your friend, so you can declare, “Hey, I’m in D8. See you there!”
Trinity Bellwoods is not the only park that would benefit from this kind of system. Thus, Torontoist has provided this system for High Park too. Don’t know where to meet your buddy to go to Shakespeare in the Park? Don’t know the best place to meet to visit Toronto’s famous capybaras? This is the map for you.
