Another month, another frustrating transit debate at city hall. Or maybe this one will be refreshing and feature thoughtful and nuanced discussion about public policy, and fairly evaluate the underlying evidence? Haha, nahhh.
Beyond the future of transit in Scarborough, there’s lots of other items that round out the agenda.
Council will also debate three proposed safe injection sites, a project that harm reduction advocates have long fought for. There will also be a debate on Toronto’s so-called Vision Zero project that the mayor announced last month; the plan earned significant criticism for its lack of ambition.
