Vandalist: Landfill, the Sequel

Makes you think twice before tossing that burrito wrapper.

Landfill Box Sticker

FIELD NOTES: Back in January a very observant photographer noticed the “landfill” stickers someone placed over top of the litter graphics on municipal garbage bins. The stickers are a wonderful reminder of the not-so-wonderful consequences of our waste-producing habits. These environmental crusaders are back with another round of municipal stickering. But wait! There’s more! In response to the very positive reaction the project initially received, and in addition to their own endeavours, the sticker vigilantes have created a sticker Indiegogo campaign. Hoping for a spring city-wide bin takeover, this campaign is their way of distributing stickers to anyone who wants to spread the message.

Once a week, Vandalist features some of the most interesting street art and graffiti from around Toronto. Find something great? Email [email protected].
