In the news: police are investigating after attacks on Cineplex theatres, downtown core determined to be bicycle theft hotspot, and an Alberta driver makes a wrong turn.

Police are investigating after four separate attacks on movie theatres across the GTA. On Friday, three Cineplex locations—one in Brampton, Scarborough, and Mississauga—were evacuated due to noxious fumes, following a previous attack at Scarborough Town Centre on April 16. In an email Monday, Cineplex spokesperson Sarah Van Lange said that the company will be taking “precautionary measures” to ensure the safety of attendees whose enjoyment of movies have been compromised by douchebags who like to ruin fun things.

If you live or frequent the downtown core, you may want to take extra precaution when it comes to your bicycle: according to a new analysis by the Toronto Star, the downtown core has the highest rates of bicycle thefts across the GTA. The report lists several hotspots along Yonge, Bloor Street West, College, Bay, and Queen, with more than 18,000 bikes reported stolen between January 1, 2010 and June 30, 2015. From someone who has once loved and lost a very expensive bike, take note: buy a good, $100 lock…or two.

Perhaps this Alberta driver was looking for some underground parking?
