In the news: Surprise! Women are paid less than men!, 29 per cent of Torontonians don't believe in systemic racism, fashion > living, and a couple experiences car woes.

According to an interactive telephone survey conducted by Forum Research, 55 per cent of Torontonians support Black Lives Matter. While 50 per cent of all 858 respondents agreed that systemic racism exists, 29 per cent disagreed and 20 per cent said they did not know. (We want to assume that 100 per cent of disagreers are not visible minorities but it’s only an educated guess.)

A new report funded by the Ontario Pay Equity Commission has found those affected most by the gender pay gap are women working in retail. The report found that while nearly 60 per cent of Ontario’s retail workers are female, men make up the majority of managerial positions. (Do the 29 per cent believe in sexism or?)

Toronto Zoo officials are investigating after a woman was filmed climbing into a tiger enclosure to retrieve a hat. Apparently fashion > safety.

Toronto couple Joyce Weinman and Mark Arnold are irked that the TTC moved their car. While the Toronto Transit Commission does not have the authority to remove vehicles, the two learned on Saturday that the TTC can make requests: their car had been towed a few blocks away.
