The trash pandas don't need our help, please stop.
No, no, no, don’t feed the raccoons.
We are very much pro-trash panda here at Torontoist—we have the buttons to prove it—but however cute they are, our local garbage bandits do not need our help.
One woman at College and Beverley just couldn’t help herself though, and seemingly led a wild raccoon on a walk. Captured on video by Aaron Costain, an unidentified woman walks a raccoon up Beverley Street by College, and glances back to ensure the cute critter is following along.
“I was incredulous, and a little worried for the raccoon—it was a busy street, during the day,” Costain told Torontoist. “I only wish I had kept filming the lady opening the garbage can for him,” he said, adding that the raccoon chose not to dive in.
