According to a new report by commercial real estate firm Avison Young, Yorkdale Mall has been named Canada’s most profitable retail shopping centre of 2015. According to the report, Yorkdale generated $1,610 in sales per square foot, followed by CF Pacific Centre ($1,599/square foot) and Oakridge Centre ($1,537/square foot) in Vancouver. Other Toronto malls to round up the top 10 are the Toronto Eaton Centre, Royal Bank Plaza, and Square One.
A Mississauga park named after Marco Muzzo’s late grandfather will have its name changed to avoid being confused for his grandson, who was found guilty on impaired driving charges that left four dead and two others severely injured. Marco Muzzo Memorial Woods and Park in Erin Mills will be changed to Marco Muzzo Senior Memorial Woods and Park after the late building developer.
Toronto city councillor Ron Moeser has been diagnosed with lymphoma. In an email Wednesday, Moeser—who has represented Ward 44 – Scarborough East for the past 18 years—told colleagues that he will continue to serve his ward’s constituents, and provide any updates on his conditions as they change.
