Toronto’s Panda Cubs Are Now Officially Cute

Finally, they're doing their job.

The two panda cubs at the Toronto Zoo are three months old, and if we are to go by their social media pictures, they are now officially cute.

This is important, because pandas are born pink and wrinkly—the PR literature usually compares their size to a stick of butter—but don’t mention that they look like shaved kittens. And that look doesn’t sell plushies.

The panda images are good news, because there is one job they have, it is to be adorable. In fact, it’s the reason for the survival of their species. They eat really inefficient food, are terrible at breeding, and if us humans didn’t have a soft spot for the hapless bears, they would probably go extinct. So it’s important they yawn like that.

Keep it up, little bears. A+ work.
