FIELD NOTES: Head off the beaten path and you’re likely to spot all sorts of secret nooks and crannies around the city. Put on your adventure pants and mosey into the city’s back alleys, drains, underpasses, abandoned buildings (pretty much anywhere you’d imagine an evil villain having a secret lair). These are the places graffiti artists seek out. There, they can spend hours painting without fear of being disturbed. If you’re feeling adventurous you should seek out these places. Those are where you’ll find some of the best graffiti the city has to offer.

Once a week, Vandalist features some of the most interesting street art and graffiti from around Toronto. Find something great? Email [email protected].
