Ground Breaks on Worst-Named Condo Development in Toronto

A tall, truly terribly-named development is headed for Victoria and Richmond Streets.

Deputy Mayor Denzil Minnan-Wong (Ward 34, Don Valley East) was joined by Christopher Wein, president of development firm Great Gulf, to break ground on the horribly named Yonge + Rich condo development today. Located at 25 Richmond Street, the wince-inducingly titled 45-storey tower’s design was whipped up by Architects Alliance with interior design by Burdifilek. Located within a short walk of one of the most economically blighted neighbourhoods in downtown Toronto, this handsome, totally inappropriately-monikered edifice will rise as an elegant middle finger over the city’s core—just a short walk from the subway, PATH, Eaton Centre, U of T, and the city’s financial and entertainment districts.
