  • An image of what a new-and-improved TTC might look like has just been released. A report on the agenda for the next TTC board meeting provides an image of a new subway map featuring the Eglinton Crosstown LRT (set to open in 2021). The image also includes the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension. The map will be reviewed by the board this Monday, November 23; one station still requires naming.
  • In an unsettling turn of events, a heart was found outside of a building at Ryerson University this morning. A groundskeeper reported the abandoned organ to police at 9:00 a.m., and investigators are currently examining it. Preliminary reports say the heart is likely too large to belong to a human; Ryerson tweeted that it is believed to be a cow heart.
  • A new fund has been created in honour of the late Will Munro, an active member of the city’s queer community who passed away in 2010 from brain cancer. The Will Munro Fund for Queer and Trans People Living with Cancer will give temporary emergency relief to LGBT people in Ontario with cancer. It will provide $5,000 per year to those in need of assistance, and seeks, according to Will’s brother Dave Munro, to support those who don’t necessarily have the support that Will enjoyed.
