| FIELD NOTES: | If you’ve ever been to Guildwood Park out in Scarborough you’ll have seen pieces of beautiful old buildings placed around the park—parts of columns, bits of statues, and other little architectural gems. They have a European feel, like the kind of buildings where you might expect statues like those pictured in the above wheat pastes. Those park pieces are remnants of buildings that actually used to be in Toronto. It’s hard to imagine our city with so many buildings that included such lovely features. We like to think these paste-ups are a little homage to the architectural treasures we once hosted. |
Once a week, Vandalist features some of the most interesting street art and graffiti from around Toronto. Find something great? Email [email protected].
