Did you see Torontohenge last night? Great! Neither did we! In the news: Environment Canada issues special weather statement, FOI reveals 61 incidents of cops running red lights, and Prince Edward visits Toronto.

Hold onto your hats! Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for tonight spanning the GTA, with remnants of a storm and Hurricane Patricia expected to dump 25 to 40 mm of rain into the area. Strong winds are also forecasted to develop Wednesday, with winds reaching 70 km/h.
A new investigation led by CTV News has revealed that 61 Toronto police patrol vehicles have run red lights while not on an emergency call over a period of 18 months. Traffic Services Const. Clint Stibbe says that while “people make mistakes,” the numbers shouldn’t be indicative of the Toronto Police force. Stibbe said, “In 18 months, we have had 61 officers that have committed this offence, when you think about the sheer number of miles that vehicles in our service put on, the number of shift rotations we have, the number of officers on the road, that’s actually a very small number.”
Her Majesty’s youngest son, Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, will tour 3D-printing and research facility, Think2Thing, as part of his focus on youth entrepreneurship and innovation. Prince Edward’s 37th trip to our fair city will also see the Royal member meet with founders of several startup companies, as well as Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Dowdeswell and innovators at DMZ at Ryerson University.
