Vandalist: Rock Me, Amadeus
We're lusting after this paste-up.

FIELD NOTES: | This symphony of colour, shape and text is music to our eyes. Brought to us by Montreal street artist Stikki Peaches, who is known for his vivid pop-culture mash-up collages, we have been gifted with this portrait of composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Stikki Peaches’ practice asks the question, “what if art ruled the world?” His own answer gives us a glimpse into a beautiful controlled chaos that you can’t help but be drawn to. It’s a balancing act of both admiration for and criticism of pop culture, as well as an aesthetic that slaps you across the face (in a good way). We adore this piece and hope there are more Stikki Peaches treasures hidden about town. |
Once a week, Vandalist features some of the most interesting street art and graffiti from around Toronto. Find something great? Email [email protected].
