It's Tuesday, and everybody's talking about last night's Munk Debate! In other news: the Jays won against Baltimore, and we're putting more money into construction on the Gardiner.

Justin Trudeau, Stephen Harper, and Thomas Mulcair met last night in Toronto for the Munk Debate on foreign policy issues. Hot topics included Syrian refugees, Bill C-51, and Bill C-24. This last bill made headlines on the weekend when the Conservatives revoked the citizenship of Zakaria Amara. Amara was sentenced to life in prison for his involvement in the so-called “Toronto 18” bomb plot.
Been following the Jays? Of course you have. But just in case, it’s worth pointing out that they beat Baltimore 4-3 last night. Although it was a tight game, they’re still potentially heading for the AL East title.
Toronto will be dropping up to $3.4-million to shave a few months off the Gardiner construction project, Mayor Tory announced Monday. The money will provide for extended work hours, a bigger crew, and more equipment. To justify the cost, Tory invoked a 2014 report that said each day of extra Gardiner traffic costs the city $1-million.
