Take it from us: wait until the weekend to drink. In the news: Canada's most notorious bank robber is arrested by Genevan police, Ahmed Mohamed gets invited to Toronto, and suspects wanted in Central Tech stabbing surrender.

A man dubbed as “Canada’s most notorious bank robber” has been identified as 53-year-old Jeffrey James Shuman, who was arrested Tuesday on an international arrest warrant in Geneva, Switzerland. York Regional Police’s Constable Andy Pattenden said that Shuman, also known as “The Vaulter,” is expected to be charged with robbery and firearms-related charges in connection to 21 bank robberies over the GTA, Hamilton, Ottawa, and Calgary spanning February 2010 to 2015.

Retired astronaut Chris Hadfield has invited Ahmed Mohamed, the teenaged boy arrested for bringing a homemade clock to school, to his Toronto Generator show at Massey Hall later next month. Hadfield tweeted, “Hi @IStandWithAhmed I’d love you to join us for our science show Generator in Toronto on 28 Oct. There’s a ticket waiting for you.” The grade nine student, who has yet to respond, was arrested Monday after a clock he had built and brought to school was mistaken for a bomb.

Two suspects wanted in the Central Tech stabbing that left one student with a punctured lung have surrendered to police. According to Detective Jessica McInnes, a man and a male youth were arrested at 8:05 yesterday morning and charged with assault, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and carrying a concealed weapon in the September 8 attack.
