  • 22 years after our local team’s last World Series win (and playoff appearance), Toronto’s got Blue Jays fever again. And the only cure is…super expensive post-season tickets! By 11:40 this morning, the team tweeted that American League Division Series tickets were sold out with only a few wild-card game tickets left. Now playoff tickets are beginning to crop up on secondary-market sites at up to 400 per cent markup, putting undoubted spring in the steps of so many scalpers.
  • A York University engineering ad placed on several GO trains this morning was quickly removed when a typo was spotted (“enginering”) and digitally shunted to the trophy case of human folly. York spokespeople are, predictably, kind of embarrassed about the whole affair but, hey, accidents–even pricey ones–do happen.
  • The Oscar for local urbanist dreamers, the 2015 NXT City Prize, will be announced tonight. The lucky winner gets $5,000 and the opportunity to work with the City, BIAs, and community organizations to potentially have a city-building proposal put into place.
