On his last visit to the city, Stephen Harper touted plans to build the country’s first national urban park, located in northeast Scarborough. But Brad Duguid, MPP for Scarborough Centre, is saying that the provincial government is unwilling to move forward with the park’s plans because of concerns over environmental protections.
From the article:
Harper announced that the Government of Canada will contribute an additional 21 square kilometres of land to Rouge National Urban Park, which increases the size of the park by approximately one third. But that’s only if the provincial and federal governments can sort a dispute over environmental protections, and the park ever gets built.

There’s no real set of rules to being a ball fan other than simply caring (and maybe being a masochist), but the more knowledge you have of the game and its players the more enjoyment can be found.
We talked to medal-winning Parapan athletes Morgan Bird, James Theroux, and Sarah Girard on what it takes to become a para-athlete and how to have fun in between training.
From the article:
In a room filled with excited energy, Sarah Girard’s is by far the most infectious. “It was just incredible,” gushes Girard about her bronze medal win. “This is my very first Parapan Am, and two weeks ago I was only seventh! Now I’m third, and I just won a medal, and I’m really, really happy.

“As a wizard, you can’t actually touch the hipsters,” says de Castro. “Because if any of the can collectors actually got too aggressive with any of the hipsters … that’s socially not allowed.”
