Things That Have Happened Since the Jays Were Last Competitive
It's been at least a generation since the Jays were competitive. We take a look at some of the things that have happened since Alomar and Olerud were leading the way.

It is a strange feeling for Toronto sports fans, because it is August and the Jays just pulled ahead of the Yankees and into first place in their division. Winners of 10 straight, the Jays try to extend their victorious ways against the Oakland A’s this afternoon.
To give some perspective to just how long Jays fans have suffered, it’s worth looking back to what has happened since the Jays were last in this position this late in the year—1993. It was a time when The Fugitive led the box office, Kim Campbell was prime minister, and Stephen Harper was not yet a member of parliament.

The Jays take on their division rival Yankees this weekend.
