Ontario premier Kathleen Wynne and Ontario regional chief Isadore Day signed an accord on Monday that establishes a formal relationship between the Province and First Nations. Wynne called it “an important step to renew the relationship between the government and First Nations,” saying that relationship would have to be built or rebuilt “almost from scratch.”

The Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (MOCCA) has left its site at Queen West and Shaw Street. An eight-storey “ultra-hip boutique condominium” is slated to take its place on the lot by 2017. Also in 2017, MOCCA will open at their new site near the Nestle chocolate plant. Until then, they’re planning to host pop-up exhibitions around the city.

The four major shootings that took place in the past week in Toronto have sparked fear of an uptick in gun violence. The grounds for this anxiety are related to long-term crime statistics.
