Scarborough-born sprinting superstar Andre De Grasse took home the gold in yesterday’s 100m final at the Pan Am Games, and is headed up against the likes of speed demons like Usain Bolt in Beijing in August for the world championships. The 20-year-old has been anointed an athlete to watch by top U.S. coaches.

Remember the Guvernment nightclub? You probably do, since the club at Lower Jarvis and Queen’s Quay has only been gone since earlier this year. One California man hopes to never, ever forget: he built a miniature replica of the storied dance spot in his house. 30-year-old Jeffrey Scott was a regular at the club during its heyday, and remembers being impressed by its main room’s setup. As he put it to The Star: “I was inspecting all the fine details, the LEDs, the strings behind the DJ booth, the walls and the balconies. I remember standing by the balcony thinking I have to make this thing.”

Finally, in case you’ve forgotten that it’s high summer and Toronto is a beautiful place, YouTube user Toronto Skycam has uploaded aerial drone footage of a jet ski event at Scarborough Bluffs. It’s all very summertime YOLO.
