Deriving their name from the combination of the Spanish word for “dude” plus a common Chilean surname, Chico Trujillo is the everyman’s band. Their concerts are some of the most jam-packed, multigenerational musical affairs imaginable, which isn’t bad for a cumbia revival outfit put together by a crew of reformed punk rockers. Just about anyone can find something to love in Chile’s favourite party band.
