- The TTC announced—or, if you heard the news in March or May, reannounced—that transit riders will no longer have to wait more than 10 minutes for a bus, train, or streetcar…at least, on 51 of its routes. TTC Chair Josh Colle (Ward 15, Eglinton-Lawrence) and TTC Deputy Chris Upfold took to Bathurst Station this afternoon for a news conference and stated that 51 routes—about one third of the city’s total—will feature “10 minutes or less” wait times between 6 a.m. and 1 a.m.
- The Blue Jays swept the division-rival Boston Red Sox over the weekend, extending their win streak to 11, a tie for the longest in franchise history. Tonight, they’ll try to set a record when they take on the New York Mets.
- If you’ve ever had the urge to flip over a table in anger (or happiness; we’re not judging you), head on down to Ye Olde Dandy’s in East Chinatown for some mystery games and table flippery. The so-called entertainment venue offers $10 a flip for those wanting to watch items succumb to the force of gravity, proving once and for all that people will pay for almost anything.
