It’s (still) that time of the month! You know, council time? Anyway. Council has officially backed the new Red Door Shelter project inside a condo development at 875 Queen St. East, which is exciting news for the shelter and surrounding community and a move area councillor Paula Fletcher (Ward 30, Toronto-Danforth) called “a milestone.”

Councillors also gave the green light to city staff to come up with a strategy to regulate drone use in the city’s public spaces, due by September.

Finally, in case you’ve been living in a social media cave, Peak Bloom is about to hit High Park in a serious way. Everybody who’s anybody is making it out to see the cherry blossoms in their springy pink glory this year. Experts predict that the time to spot (and selfie beside) the best blooms will fall anywhere between today and Sunday.
