A High Park Zoo peacock is just strutting around the neighbourhood, because why not.
Sometime this week, one of the High Park Zoo peacocks escaped from the west end attraction.
The peacock made its way towards Roncesvalles, perhaps to scope out a family-size rental dwelling.
The CBC reports that the peacock was spotted in the area on Thursday evening, but Animal Services has not yet had a chance to put it back in its forever home.
One good thing about a rogue peacock is that they’re fairly conspicuous, and it was quickly spotted nearby. YouTube user Nick Moses captured a video of a community enthralled with their new neighbour, and they vainly tried their best to guide it while it chilled on local roofs.
We get you, High Park Peacock. We really do.
