Accessibility on Wheels

We checked out one of the Miles Nadal JCC's new Wheel Dance workshops to see how they keep on rolling.

The Miles Nadal JCC at Bloor and Spadina has a new Access and Inclusion initiative, designed to create what the program’s coordinator Liviya Mendelsohn describes as “a culture of respect for difference.” In addition to offerings that include mixed abilities basketball, accessible yoga, and arts and culture programming targeted to accommodate a range of abilities, the centre is offering Wheel Dance ballroom and Latin dance workshops (the next one is on June 7). We scoped out the scene.
