Spotted: Playola
Crayons bloom in Trinity-Bellwoods, seems normal.

SPOTTED BY: Sam Queen
WHERE: Trinity-Bellwoods Park
WHEN: Thursday, April 2, late afternoon
WHAT: If you walked into Trinity-Bellwoods late last week and saw giant crayons, you may have shrugged and thought, “Of course, the annual Trinity-Bellwood crayon bloom,” and carried on. Dubbed “Playola,” the project is the latest from the team of mischievous do-gooders who recently slapped Landfill stickers on garbage cans. Someone clearly took the Crayola slogan “The art of childhood” seriously growing up, and that’s a good thing.
