Missing OCAD student Asmaa Bana has been found safe and sound at a Tim Hortons. The last reported sighting of the 20-year-old student had been Monday afternoon at school. Police were concerned to discover, at the time, that her social media accounts had been deactivated.
In May, city councillors will be asked to approve an application for a Junction condo development that has been flagged by city planners as being unsafe. The CBC reports that the plan put forward by Stanton Renaissance has raised eyebrows for a number of reasons, including the buildings’ proposed proximity to one another, their height, and proximity to the neighbouring rail line. A similar proposal for the same site, near St. Clair and Keele at 6 Lloyd Ave, was made by the developer in 2005 and denied by the Ontario Municipal Board.
Remember Saturday, when we thought it was going to really feel like spring from that point forward? That was nice. Anyway, today’s temperature is expected to hover around the freezing mark until it makes its single-digit peak in the afternoon. Oh yeah, and it’s windy too, so bundle up and all that. Sigh.
