Every weekday’s end, we collect just about everything you ought to care about or ought not to miss.

- Short-turn haters, beware. Spadina and College will shut down for construction until April 27. While it’s only a couple of weeks, we’re betting there will be some frustrated streetcar riders in the meantime. Pedestrian access will still be available during construction.
- Are you ready to cheer on your favourite Game of Thrones character when the series returns on April 12? Maybe that character will even manage to survive for a few episodes. Regardless, there’s an HBO pop-up shop that is now open at 277 Queen Street West. It has an iron throne and everything, and you don’t even have to act like Joffrey to sit in it.
- The Toronto Blue Jays played their season opener today in New York, and beat the Yankees 6-1. Drew Hutchison earned the start—the youngest Blue Jay to get the honour—and pitched six strong innings, as he only allowed one run on three hits and two walks. Rookie second baseman Devon Travis hit his first major-league home run, and slugger Edwin Encarnacion hit one as well.
This post initially said that Spadina and College would be under construction until mid-June. It is lower Sherbourne that will be under construction until that date, while Spadina and College will need work until April 27. We regret the error.
