Screen Shot 2015 03 20 at 10 01 21 AM

SPOTTED BY: Eugene Michasiw

WHERE: Simcoe Hall, University of Toronto

WHEN: Friday, March 20, at approximately 8:30 a.m.

WHAT: Wrapping the third week of labour negotiations between the University of Toronto and its graduate-student teaching assistants and course instructors, who are on strike, the word “SHAME” appears graffitied across the building that houses the university’s administrative offices.

UPDATE 11:10 AM: Abe Singer, a representative of the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 strike committee, says that the union was not involved in the overnight vandalism of Simcoe Hall and its strike organizers do not know who is responsible. He adds: “We condemn it.”
