Not the actual digger.

  • The self-described “main digger” behind the Mystery Tunnel found near York University has spoken to The Toronto Sun about his project. Elton McDonald, 22, went on to explain to the Sun that he hoped to expand it to include a few rooms and a TV. “I did some barbecuing there,” he said. Apparently he’d been working on the underground hangout for some five years.

  • The phrase “I have to top up the meter” might finally be destined for the linguistic graveyard. Local parking titan Green P has launched an app that allows drivers to buy parking time with their phones, eliminating the need to run out in the middle of dinner dates and house parties to renew parking sessions. “I think the city has been frozen in time,” Mayor John Tory said gravely at a news conference held today to announce the app, before vowing to deliver “the best possible parking experience” to Toronto’s motorists.
  • Finally, Pitchfork released an annotated map of the Toronto locations featured in Drake’s songs, and it is amazing.
