Extra, Extra: Ice, Ice, Baby; Lisi Doesn’t Appear at Court; and Your Measles Update

Every weekday’s end, we collect just about everything you ought to care about or ought not to miss.

  • In case that annual weather amnesia had you believing that spring had sprung (LOL!), think again, dear friends: Environment Canada says an ice storm might be gracing Southern Ontario tonight.
  • Toronto Public Health confirmed today that the measles outbreak that has kind of scared Toronto for the past two months is finally done. The outbreak culminated in 10 confirmed cases of the disease, following the initial discovery of four cases declared February 2.
  • Finally, today marked day one of the drug trial against the former mayor’s sometimes-driver Alexander (Sandro) Lisi, who didn’t show up to his own party. The Globe reports that Lisi’s lawyer, who was present, said Lisi was suffering a bout of vertigo that could last between “a few hours” and “a few days.”
