Extra, Extra: Heartbreak for Jays Fans, Tory’s First 100 Days, and Drake Heritage Moments
Every weekday’s end, we collect just about everything you ought to care about or ought not to miss.

- Spring is truly in the air: it’s the second consecutive day of almost-mild weather of the year and the first devastating local baseball news story has broken the hearts of Toronto Blue Jays fans far and wide. Pitcher Marcus Stroman tore his left ACL in a bunt drill and will be out for the season. This marks the second injury the team has sustained so far in spring training.
- Today, in addition to being Budget Day at city hall, marked Mayor John Tory’s 100th day in office. So, naturally, the former mayor and current Ward 2 (Etobicoke North) councillor made a totally mature and not at all petty comparison of first-100-days mayoral achievements. While the facts and figures might have be questionable, the taxpayers—er, residents—were at least mildly entertained.
- Finally, in #DrakeNews, an account called DrakeHeritageMoments has mysteriously sprung up on Twitter, promising to release Drake-related Vines every Tuesday. On that note, here’s a video clip of little Aubrey’s Bar Mitzvah:
