WHAT: Don’t let anyone tell you that all of Scarborough prefers one mode of transportation. This sign, seen at a Scarborough residence by Victoria Park Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East, shows that Toronto’s easternmost former municipality still yearns to be Gus Harris’s City of the Future. While this particular resident may feel he or she is owed a jetpack, they have not done their due diligence, as sheppardjetpacks.ca is still an available domain at the time of publication (get it while it’s hot). Council will debate multiple transit-related motions at this week’s session, including a proposal to revisit the Finch West LRT and Sheppard subway extension. The anti-subways jetpacks supporter also had a sign stating “Build proper transit.”
