| FIELD NOTES: | Spend five minutes watching the news, scrolling though Facebook, or even looking out the window, and it’s clear that our world is not always super. It’s almost impossible not to feel overwhelmed by all the bad news we consume, even if we have little control over it. Feeling powerless over the world’s problems makes it all the more tempting to focus on the little things we can control, enjoying what luxuries we have, and shutting out the big picture. It doesn’t have to be this way. Collectively, we make the choices that direct our world. Maybe, if we don’t ignore the pieces above, we can learn to make the changes we want to see. |
